For those of you who are forwarding a port, you will also need to forward a port within LW. You will need to use the same port no. in both the router device, any Firewall you use, LW's port setting & LW's Firewall setting. For Windows: Tools>Options>Advanced>Firewall
OSX: LW's Prefs>Advanced>Firewall
OS9: Tools>Options>Advanced>Firewall

But don't forget the setting in LW>... >Advanced>Port must also be the same port no. as the LW firewall setting. I have provided this sample image to make it easier for people to know what to do within LW. (sample below is for the "old" version of LW, for the version used "now" see sample 2 posts below this one!)

How Do I know what the section : Ports should saw so Limewire can allows use my computer. I am on a neighhood wireless network connection

Go LW>Tools>Options>Advanced>Firewall Config.
There on the right side you'll see the Listening port number.
