Error message regarding .wmv format Hello everyone (please excuse my English) This is my first question my new friends so also please understand my ignorance. I have a problem with an error message I am seeing when I download certain ".wmv" formatted videos. It is as follows: "The content license for this hardware is inconsistent" What does this mean and is there anything to be done about it? I utilize the Mac OSX operating system and am theorizing it will have something to do with a Windoze/Macintosh confliction? Thank-you one and all! --Travis Karaoke |
I think the .wmv is DRM protected and as far as I know "Windows Media Player for Macintosh" cannot play DRM protected files. |
Re. .WMV error message... Thank-you for the quick replies. So it is as I had thought. Perhaps I should make cross platform data copies of these .WMV files that give error messages and then play them on a Windoze compatible machine. (Sorry for my poor English skills) It is strange that my latest version of player - 9 I believe- will not play certain .WMV files. Again thanks to all responders! ---Dr. Travis Karaoke |
