Worm - W32.HLLW.Purol

I would just like to draw everyones attention to this worm.

Its partularly annoying and a nightmare to get rid off, please find the symantec security post below and follow the instructions.

It takes over the default directories used by Limewire and all the other download engines to share files and creates 808 files each of 42kb all with different names that look downloadable, on download by a third party the virus is activated and replecates, the posibilities for how many there could be are astounding, I found over 4000 instances of it on my machine.

Housecall is perfectly capable of detecting and removing ALL componants but you will need to follow the registry instructions on the Symantec site.

As far as I can tell the only symptoms that I had were massive use of system resources and the annoying fact that if you delete any of the directories that it uses they magically re-appear of their own accord.
