Question errors with downloading

This is my first use of Lime Wire and I have tried several times to burn about 8 songs from my library. I keep having the disc "pop out" with errors before its finished. I got a "write error, buffer error and a track writer error". I don't know what I'm doing wrong. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Try burning it at the minimum speed!!!!!!!!! People think that b/c they have 52 speed burners then that's the speed they should burn audio cd's at. That is poor thinking. If yo want aan audio cd that'll burn properly & last years then burn min speed & use good quality media!!!! So it takes 15-20 mins instead of 2 mins. What would you prefer, a coaster, a cd that only lasts 2 yrs or less, or a cd that maintains its quality for 25 years.

The invisible moderator syndrome strikes again !!!

And... er... Assuming that 'speed' is the issue here is a wee bit premature, what ?

First...

There are loads of posts here within the Tips & Tricks Forum on the subject of

burning

Have a search and a look around here for many many tips and probable answers for your current problems...

Not 'brushing you off'... Honest !

Also...

We MUST know more about your system as in

What

Operating System you are running
and
What 'burning' software you are trying to use

-----

The 'burning' side of your DownLoaded files has nothing to do with LimeWire (or any other p2p 'client').

LimeWire is only the program (p2p client) that you are now using to DownLoad files...

What you do with those downloaded files is something that requires other software, right ?

You're in the right place here in the Tips & Tricks Forum to get loads of advice and help, so hang in there !

i dont think its got anything to do with what os they have its more down to the cd they r burning onto, make sure there r no scratchers on the cd this will give u the erro u have plus make sure u have no lil bits os dust in ur drive as if u do it will scratch the cd as it spins and this will give u the error u have, i have had this problem and i soon as i cleaned my cd r it worked fine plus as lotr typed the slower u burn the better it will be, its bit like sex the longer u take the better it is

That's true. Buffer underruns can be for multiple reasons. It may even be the need for softw upgrade or device ware upgrade. Or even the media used. May even be to do with the OS system having some issues for some reason. Yes an unstable OS or overused/corrupt ram can affect burning a cd. It may even be to do with loose connections between the computer & burner. Or the data can't be read fast enough to burn for some indirect reason.
