Need Help With Port Forward Routing I have a Linksys Router and can use port forwarding to help with the connection. I need to know what i should put in for: * APPLICATION NAME * PORT START AND PORT END NUMBERS * IS THE PROTOCOL DUP OR TCP OR BOTH PLEASE HELP ME WITH THE INFO ABOVE TO SET UP MY PORT FORWADING AND HOW DO I ALSO PUSH THE LOCAL NETWORK? thanks, Heath |
application name "LimeWire" port start/end both 6346 or whatever you set as your port in Tools->Options->Advanced->Port (actually setting start to 6346 and end to 6348 may work a little better because there may be occasions were LimeWire switches to one of the next higher ports because 6346 is still in use). LimeWire will need both TCP and UDP |
1 Attachment(s) Look for your Linksys model no. HERE (Click on link) Full instructions are provided. As trap_jaw4 said you need to apply those port no.'s. See below for Force IP instructions for LW. ie: for windows: Tools>Options>Advanced>Port & Firewall For macosx: LW Prefs>Advanced>Port & Firewall |
