![]() Ok everyone, I am SO new to this whole world of downloading movies and music that I need some serious help! 1st. I have downloaded a movie, the movie is avi type. How do I view it? What do I need to do to view the movie? I have wmp, DivX, and VLC media player. How do I get my downlaoded video to play in one of those players. 2nd How do I take the downloaded video or music and burn it to a cd. I am such a computer idiot that you will have to speak REAL slow or I am bound to not understand you. I really appreciate anyone who can help me. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Nikilu; November 30th, 2004 at 08:52 AM. |

![]() For the 2nd point, jg4273 got it right! Anything you need to know about adapting a video file to dvd that site will tell you what's needed. The answrs are already there if yoiu're patient to search. The better quality of dvd burner apps such as by roxio or .... (mind block) are great & will convert your avi to mpeg2 in order to burn to dvd. Dvd's use mpeg2 format. If you're adding separate tracks to the one dvd then they'll seem lile separate chapters that you'd probably need to go back to the menu to play. There are joinder utilities that can be found at at the above site. Whatsmore it mentioned in every 2nd sentence lol ![]() ![]() I've only 'just' started experimenting burning from dwnlded movies clips to dvd-rw. I normally work with full quality video & convert to dvd so ie; going down instead of trying to go up in size & compression. |

![]() I too am new to this whole DVD burning thing. I'm familiar with burning music though. I used to use Napster. Anyway, I digress, I went to www.Microsoft.com and downloaded their Media Player and it plays the DVD's as for burning them to disc you've got me! I'd like to know myself. I've got 3 different DVD burners and not one of them will recognize the files. If you find out how to burn one will you let me know? Hope the Microsoft Media thing works out for you. |
