Default Avi File!! Not Playing

I DOWNLOADED A MOVIE WHICH IS AN AVI FORMAT BUT WHEN I TRIED TO PLAY IT IT SAYS THAT A MP43 DECOMPRESSOR NOT FOUND CAN SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE. Many thanks

It's hard to give advice when you don't provide your OS version, etc. Try VLC (a free player with built in codecs) & choose the nearest mirror site to you. Yo can also dwnld some codecs: http://www.divx-digest.com/software/nimo_pack.html AND also these: And also 1. DivX, 2. XviD, 3. 3ivx , etc.
