Unhappy

It still doesn't answer the question I have. Do I have to buy both Audio and Vidio converters?

Yes you may need to buy some softw. Such as TMG??? I can't remember what it's called. But you'll see it mentioned many many times at the site trap_jaw4 gave you. That is a very good site. It has many sections & many forum sections also. It has all your answers if you're willing to put the efort & time into searching it. Another site of interest is http://forum.dvd-guides.com/ & is a little similar but not as broad. It also depends whether you're using mac/windows. There's different apps for each. I use a mac but have been able to use either directly or convert all video files (except wmv) to burn to a dvd.

Angry

I have taken everyones advice and can't seem to get a straight answer. All I want to do is be able to download movies from Limewire and burn them to a disk DVD or CD or Double layer to play on my TV.
I have tried several of the free trials and can't figure out how. I am not looking for something for nothing. Someone please help.

If you Google for "DivX to DVD" you get plenty hits.

I get plenty of hits but no one can answer how I can copy the movie to watch on my TV. I will buy the program as long as it does what I want it to.

Tomcola what burner softw are you using. With Nero I think you need the latest version or at least dwnld their mpeg2 codec. For Roxio Easy CD & DVD it has the codecs built in. As suggested earlier, for Roxio Toast I can just drag & drop the movie files into Toast & it will do any necessary conversions itself. (That includes mpeg1-4, divx & avi files.)

For other things such as joining & splitting

There's also http://www.videohelp.com/tools which will give you a decent list of utilities. And search options.

As for a help page to show which apps to use & how to do it, well I've seen a couple at least for both mac & windows but I don't have a link for them. I can't remember where I found them. As I said earlier, windows & mac use different apps & I'm not a windows user per se. I know this IS what you're looking for.

I did a quick google & came uup with these links:

http://www.afterdawn.com/index-menu.cfm

http://www.zeropaid.com/bbs/archive/index.php/t-21635

http://www.zeropaid.com/bbs/archive/index.php/t-18812

& these results.

Not what I've seen before but it's a start.
