the coop is flying high
Default moving shared to root

newbie here!

the first 50 or so files i downloaded went directly to a shared file. after that the rest of my files went to a root file without me doing anything. being a newbie and all, i don't understand why. so, how can i get the first 50 shared files into the root file. i would rather have them all in one file then two.

shanks!

(Just to clarify: things went into a folder, not a file )

Well, while mys suggestion would be to make the files go to the Shared folder instead of the Root, if you want to move the previous 50 dlds into the new folder open a browser window and browse to the Shared folder, then open another one, browse to the Root folder and drag-and-drop the files from one folder to another.

After that, open Limewire, go to the Library and click refresh, then go to Tools, Options and Saving and make sure that the saving directory specified there is the Root folder and not the Shared folder, otherwise new downloads will just go to the Shared folder again.
Don't forget to click Apply after yur' done.

Oh God. I assumed you had LW. Damn. Sorry if you don't.
Just tell us what application you use and people will post back with the correct info.

Well, if it's the shared I'm talking about, then that is the folder LW created to save your downloads, so why not use that?
Root must have already been there before LW installation so it must also have other things in it besides LW stuff. (things that you may not wanna mess with)
