i have to know what codec i need !!! can somebody please telll me how to work out what codecs are needed, and where you can find them, i am having trouble playing avi files, and does anybody know where to get some completely free software to convert avi to dvd files, so i can burn them onto dvd for her indoors { you have to keep them happy }:confused: |
Get GSpot.. it's free and it will tell you what you need to play a certain file.. just open the file in GSpot and it will tell you. http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ Get an xtra backup player with built in codecs: VLC: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ (choose nearest mirror site & it's free & plays ALL except the odd wmv file!)
