Question how much is too much

O.K.-I have a stank load of 8-tracks and more then a couple of vinyl albums. I just got this handy-dandy new stand alone dvd/cd burner that I am dying to play with. I want to burn all my old stuff to cd and then share it with the world. How many files do you think might be to many to share. I have a fairly respectable braodband connection (nearly 1000kbps) and I am listed as an ultra peer. I don't want to choke my machine.

share as much as you want, id say like 500 songs or less to be on the safe side(the riaa gos after ppl who share lots of songs) . share like 500 songs at a time and then rotate them in and out of you shared folder from time to time. just please label all the music "from 8 track tape" etc so people know what there downloading. if you have the drive space share it all.
