Default Why are the music files saved as Quicktime files?

I am trying to burn songs to a cd...It goes through the process when I drag the files to my WMP but nothing ends up on the cd? Not sure why the files are in Quicktime either? Is there an option in Limewire to just search for wmp files? Helppppppppp

Is the songs you downloaded in either mp3 or wma format? Or does it say something diferent when you click on it to download?
As for picking just wma files, See where it says: Quality, Name, Type, Size, Birate, Speed and such? Click on the tab "Type" till it brings up in order either mp3, wma or what have you and it will show you all of either mp3 or wma files first. Thats the best way to search them.
Hope this helps you.

hi Uponthis,

Thank you for responding to my questions. The files are saved in mp3 format. The Quicktime icon is beside them all. When I do searches I rarely see wma file formats. I see the Quality area on the bottom left of my screen but do not see any Type button which gives me that option to search only for wma files. ~sigh~ lol

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Giddyup
You have to change the default player that windows is using. Right now, Quicktime is the default player. Are you wanting to change it so that Windows Media Player is the default then for your audio and video playback?

Giddyup, are you wanting WMP to be your default player or you have another one to play your music that you would like besides Quicktime?

Giddyup,
Do this: Click Start\More Programs\Set Programs Access and Defaults\Custom\ and where it says "Choose a Default Media Player" check "Windows Media Player" and Click "OK" down at bottom.
Now your music and video's should play now through WMP.

Can also see this: Setting Default video app but apply the same concept to your mp3, etc. files.
