How to Automatically put into iTunes How can I get Limewire songs to automatically just go into my iTunes Library. thanks. Laura |
im having the same issues, any help is awsome!! |
Duh Doh ... if only I pressed that "go" button below the post & looked at the Stickys at the top of the section. I think there's something there about iTunes ... unless I didn't bother to search or look or read the forum rules. lol :D |
After about 20 minutes of searches BEFORE I posted the original post and after I read the rules all I could find was how to 1) transfer songs downloaded already into itunes 2) how to make itunes the default player I want them to automatically be put into itunes-ie not in the shared music folder. thanks. |
It can't be done unless you're using Mac OSX. One way would be to launch all songs you've downlded with iTunes set as your default player & set to import all songs it plays. Unfortunately, there's no other practical way. If you set your iTunes music lib, as your downld folder you could run into major problems. Not worth the risk! It's not really so hard though to use the Add to Library ... command in iTunes & select multiple files at once. |
Back when i DL Winmx it asked me to select a default player..i chose ITunes.....then found LimeWire(rulez) and it didnt ask me that question.... |
Perhaps because iTunes is your system default player. To change defaults use the same principle here but apply it to mp3's, m4a, etc. See Setting Default video app I'm guessing iTunes is already your default player. What you need to do is disable LW's media player. Go to LW's menu Tools>Player & untick option & press apply. Need to wait till next time you open LW for it to take effect. So then when you launch a song from LW's library, iTunes will play it. |
Don't know if this will be of help, but... http://www.kapsi.de/files/itunes.html as in my sig below... |
