conversion from mp3
 

I am managing to download fine in mp3 format - but the discs will not play in the car cd player of kids equipment. Is there a program or conversion that I can use? Regards, Mike

Most cd burner programs will convert the mp3's to normal cd audio format. You need to select audio cd format in your burner program & not mp3 disk. Also, I would highly recommend you burn your audio disks at minimum possible speed. Some car & other cd players don't like cd-r's burnt at high speeds. Make sure you use reliable brand blank cd-r media. See Burning an audio CD from your MP3's (which is in a Sticky at the top of this section!) lol :D

:) Thanks for advice. I've an old version of Roxio ECDC 4.1 (60), Direct CD5.10 (115) which was installed in 2002. I have not updatd this version - is it worth trying to use that system or would this basic 'amateur' user be better off upgrading or getting a new burner?
