![]() Could someone please tell me which are the best speeds to choose when downloading music eg Modem, T1, T3 Cable etc. They all work but some are obviously faster than others. I am on broadband / ADSL. |

![]() Personally I go for DSL or T1 hosts as a rule. The type of music I go for is seldom offered by T3 hosts and I have had limited success with those I have tried. What you must remember though is this. A lot of fast connections are labelled as modem, and until you try them you will not find out if they are a modem, or a much faster connection. The other thing is that you could get just as good a speed from, say six modems co-sharing a file, as a single cable, T1 or T3 connection. If I am having difficulty finding a decent copy of a file I might well chose to get it from a modem. Modem hosts tend to be more careful what they share in my experience. Experiment a bit ... you will find out what works best for you. I hope this helps. |
