When downloading I get a the message: can't be downloaded if I leave the program on, will the computer still be searching in order to complete the download or can I as well close down the computer ?

Sorry for this kind of newbie question.

You should be getting the message " need more sourses". you need to then select "find more sourses for download, (otherwise nothing will happen) and this might find another source, or will turn into "Awaiting Sources". In theory if a source appears online, it will start downloading, but this does not always happen. You are better advised to re-search the file and try a fresh download.

If you are going to leave the file"awaiting sourses", then Limewire must be left running and your internet connection open. I hope this helps.

If you close limewire, or the computer down, when you restart Limewire, the file might still be Awaiting sources in the download windo, otherwise you can try to resume it from the limewire library incomplete folder..... usually.
