I wonder why you would be have such a difficult time burning an .avi to a DVD. Most .avi's need the DivX codec. I just burnt an .avi to DVD last night and it worked fine. What kind of burning program do you use?

When I burn DVD's I use Nero and for CD's I use Sonic RecordNow! Try downloading the DivX codec from this site: www.divx.com You'll want the one with the blue background. Once you get that then try burning your DVD again.
