Codec Error
 

Hi all, New to this so if I am missing something then call me stupid!!! When I download some videos and try to watch them an error message saying along the lines of that there is a codec error. How do I get round this? Thanks in advance for your help

Get these 2 programs: GSpot will tell you which codec you need. VLC has in-built codecs & generally very reliable. Find links for them here CODECs list and alternate players for Movies

OK I have downloaded from free codec site and gspot I have saved and opened them both but still have the same problem! I must be missing something really obvious but don't know what it is!!!

Did you try VLC?

Sorry forgot to download VLC....done this now and is working perfectly, many thanks:D
