Searches redirected? Newbie This has never happened to me before. Whatever I search for, 99% returns porn (which I definitely don't need right now), even with keyword which have no relation to porn. Is it some malware which is redirecting my searches or is this the norm now? |
Check out the end of the file name. If you are searching for "frenchfries" it will be something like "Tawni and her naughty sister bare all (frenchfries)". Basically they're spammers. They have some sort of software which detects what you are searching for and tags it onto the end of their files so that they show up. Then, when you watch these films, they are always pop-ups or ads for their sites. If your P2P has the capability, just ban those hosts which carry those files. New ones pop up every now and then but for the most part once you ban them they're gone for a long time. |
most of the time, it a ipod spam |
Searches redirected? Thanks for the info. Am furiously blocking hosts. But isn't it a moving target if the guys don't have static ip addresses? |
2 links that might help: 1. (a) autogenerated spam results, & also (b) autogenerated mp3 spam results 2. Direct instructions to eliminate porn from results |
Oh, great. I see some (more) useful stuff there. I'll see what I can do. Thanks again all. |
