Posts that cannot be edited to comply with the House Rules will be deleted. Restrict members. This is one of the last punishments before a member is banned. Restrictions may include placing all new posts in a moderation queue or temporarily banning the offender. Ban members. The most severe punishment. Three or more moderators or administrators must agree to the ban for this action to occur. Banning is reserved for very severe offenses and members who, after many warnings, fail to comply with the House Rules. Banning is permanent. Bans cannot be removed by the moderators and probably won't be removed by the administration. The Rules 1. Warez, copyright violation, or any other illegal activity may NOT be linked or expressed in any form. Topics discussing techniques for violating these laws and messages containing locations of web sites or other servers hosting illegal content will be silently removed. Multiple offenses will result in consequences. File names are not required to discuss your issues. If filenames are copyright then do not belong on these forums & will be edited out or post removed. There will be no racial, ethnic, or gender based insults, or any other personal attacks. 5. Pictures may be attached to posts and signatures if they are not sexually explicit or offensive. Picture sample attachments in posts must not include copyright infringement. 6. Remember to post in the correct forum. Take your time to look at other threads and see where your post will go. If your post is placed in the wrong forum it will be moved by a moderator. There are specific Gnutella Client sections for LimeWire, Phex, FrostWire, BearShare, Gnucleus, Morpheus, and many more. Please choose the correct section for your problem. 7. If you see a post in the wrong forum or in violation of the House Rules, please contact a moderator via Private Message or the "Report this post to a moderator" link at the bottom of every post. Please do not respond directly to the member - a moderator will do what is required. 8. Any impersonation of a forum member in any mode of communication is strictly prohibited and will result in banning. 9. Multiple copies of the same post will not be tolerated. Post your question, comment, or complaint only once. There is no need to express yourself more than once. Duplicate posts will be deleted with little or no warning. Keep in mind a forum censor may temporarily automatically hold up your post, if you do not see your post, do not post again, it will be dealt with by a moderator within a reasonable time. Authors of multiple copies of same post may be dealt with by moderators within their discrete judgment at the time which may result in warning or infraction points, depending on severity as adjudged by the moderators online. 10. Posts should have descriptive topics. Vague titles such as "Help!", "Why?", and the like may not get enough attention to the contents. 11. Do not divulge anyone's personal information in the forum, not even your own. This includes e-mail addresses, IP addresses, age, house address, and any other distinguishing information. Don´t use eMail addresses in your nick. Reiterating, do not post your email address in posts. This is for your own protection. 12. Signatures may be used as long as they are not offensive or sexually explicit or used for commercial advertising. Commercial weblinks cannot be used under any circumstances and will result in an immediate ban. 13. Dual accounts are not allowed. Cannot explain this more simply. Attempts to set up dual accounts will most likely result in a banning of all forum accounts. 14. Video links may only be posted after you have a tally of two forum posts. Video link posting with less than a 2 post tally are considered as spam. Video link posting with less than a 2 post tally are considered as spam. 15. Failure to show that you have read the forum rules may result in forum rules breach infraction points or warnings awarded against you which may later total up to an automatic temporary or permanent ban. Supplying system details is a prerequisite in most cases, particularly with connection or installation issues. Violation of any of these rules will bring consequences, determined on a case-by-case basis. Thank You! Thanks for taking the time to read these forum guidelines. We hope your visit is helpful and mutually beneficial to the entire community. |

Thanks RaaF I managed to do a burn using my version of Nero. I even made a cover for my new music cd. YOu can't do that in Musicmatch. I'm in the process of upgrading to Nero 7. I hope this is free. I also hope i don't get too confused as to how to use it. I just get used to using one version, then they come out with another one and mess with my head. It's all good though. |

And it gets even better when you use a newer LAME Mp3 encoder But DON'T convert a Audio CD that was made of Mp3's back to Mp3. You'll get horrible quality Mp3's. Last edited by RaaF; January 8th, 2006 at 02:21 PM. |

Raaf, in response to my jan 1 post... I'd mentioned i was downloading a new version of nero (7). After it was all done, it said it was only a trial version. I assume this is normal????? (nothing in life is free, right). If i end up liking it, where do i go to get the full version? Does anyone know how much it costs compared to Nero 6 for eg? In terms of liking it...i've found one thing i dislike so far. I went to burn a cd (which i have yet to listen to to make sure it worked), i wanted to make a cover after...like i always did in nero express. It was so great there...i didn't have to enter all the song #'s, names, artist, etc. It just appeared. WHY DIDN'T THIS HAPPEN IN NERO 7? (in case this makes a difference, i pulled the songs from the limewire media player or shared file.) Before i hit burn, all the songs were listed in front of me, and i even edited them to look the way i wanted. Where did it go and why didn't it pop up automatically? |

The place for all your Nero upgrading and buying questions. But if you had a good working version of Nero, why upgrade ? |

mp3 Files Nero Express Multi-session CDs Playlists I think I am having a similar problem...I'm not sure it's the same as yours...but it's worth noting. I am trying to make a CD of .mp3 files (using Nero Express). First, I converted the ".cda" files from my "conventional" CDs. to .mp3 format. Nero Express (NE) has an "Convert Audio CDs to Audio Files" tool for this conversion. (The tool also allows you to convert the .cda files to .wma, for use with Windows Media Player. ) Both .mp3 and .wma provide significant compression of the size of the .cda music files. For example, you may put a total of about 20 .cda tracks onto one CD; but alternatively, you might fit 200 tracks of mp3-compressed music onto one CD. Problem of Unreadable CDs 1- An "old-style" CD player will play ONLY .cda files; but, there are newer CD players that ALSO play .mp3 & .wma files. Check the file extensions for the music files on your computer. If the files on your computer are in .mp3 or .wma (compressed) formats, they cannot play on an old-style CD player; but, they COULD play on a newer one. 2- Also, there seems to be a "catch" when burning compressed files onto a CD using Nero Express: NE can make a "multi-session" CD! Multi-session CDs are good because you can continue to add files after the first group is burned; i.e., you can burn a second group, later, onto the original multi-session CD! But, they are also bad because the CD player will not be able to play ANY of the compressed files on a multi-session CD. There seems to be no way to "Close" (or Finalize) a multi-session CD; you can only use them for compiling the files you want to later burn to another (non-multi-session) CD. Under the "More" button on the Make Mp3 CD tool, it allows you to check a "Finalize" box. If you want to play the CD, make sure this box is checked! (If you do want to make a multi-session CD, leave the box unchecked). I have found that the compressed music files on a CLOSED CD WILL play on the .mp3 & .wma compatible CD player . Difficulty with Making mp3 "Playlists" I believe I have encountered a second "catch". Nero Express (or Windows) seems to reorganize the .mp3 tracks in alphabetical order by Filename, and there seems to be no feature for re-arranging the compressed files into a particular order (playlist) for burning. I have been setting the "File Name Creation Method" box in the "Audio CD to Audio Files" Conversion Tool to arrange my .mp3 files by Track #. I set the File Naming Creation Method box to "User Defined", then add "%N" before "%F". This automatically adds the track # before the .cda file title. Nero Express then lets me sort by file name to get the mp3 files in order of Track #. This seems like a poor, inflexible work-around! Is there a better way? Any suggestions?
