hi i'm new to this and everytime i go to play something it goes to realplayer and doesn't play. what do i do please

i'm trying to play movies. haven't tried songs yet

If you're playing .avi's then you might need the divx codec. You can download it from www.divx.com for free! You'll want the one in the middle.;)
