Default How do I unzip passwordprotected mp3's ?

Someone passwordprotected a whole album, but not the folder. I have no idea what password/passwords he/she might have used.

Is there anyway that I can recover the passwords ? Some program that I can download

I have tried Picozip recovery tool but it says the folder isn't passwordprotected, and gives an error when trying in the songs

It's a real drag because I have been looking for this album for a while and finally I found it.

I can play them with Nero, but I can't unzip them or add them to any library because they are in a zipfolder

I'm sure you have scanned for virus etc.

This is something I THINK I read.. If you can burn to Audio disc with nero, then I believe you can rip back to mp3. Just a thought.

Default I wish it was that easy

I doesn't work, but it's the thought that counts right. I didn't think of trying that untill I read your reply Hobo.

Nero somehow can play them from within the folder but I can't add the folder or the songs when burning an audioCD

I can move the folder around as I wish but can't move any of the songs out of the folder+ I tried adding the entire folder to the burnlist. Didn't work either.

I tried going to the site that was in the filename. Of course it was in spanish, so I had to guess more than read what it said. I did find a email-address there and have tried sending an e-mail asking to please send me the password for the songs. Just hope he understands english. I just wonder if he will give out the password to just anyone (fingers crossed)

Until then I was counting on that someone here might know of some great passwordcracker, or some way to get around it

Default I feel so stupid now :D

I got a reply to my e-mail saying that the files weren't protected and could be unzipped using WINZIP or WINRAR.

I had only tried extracting with the built in extracting tool in XP which WRONGFULLY told me that the files were protected.

Turns out that Nero can play compressed files but not burn then to audioCD

When I used WINRAR the files extracted without any problems.

Cool ... I'm just curious, did the album come off Limewire and was it labelled as a Zip file?
