Sound on mpg Vids?????

Hey i just have a quick question... Umm... when i downloaded a video, a mpg file, and it played fine in my Itunes Playlists, with sound and everything. Then i converted it to play on my Ipod, and when it got converted, only the movie was copied to the ipod, none of the sound or music.... I was wondering if anyone knew what happend or how i can fix it? (get the sound and music)
