VLC doesn't burn DVDs;) If you use the search (top right, next to quick links) to look for burn to DVD or similar, you'll find lots of threads which will give you lots of peoples' opinions on different software etc. :) |
thanks Birdy had a look at them all but they all cost before i buy is there any free programs on offer?I am but a poor student!!!!!!!!!!!!!! POOH74 |
If you have a drive that burns disks, check the software CDs that came with it. If you don't have such a drive, why even ask about it? ;] |

Particular type? So, I guess you need additional software to convert it. If your burner software is Nero there are upgrades available, otherwise you can get all the info you need at videohelp.com Don't be so defensive. You asked for free software, and that can mean what you have already. Some of the free stuff you get with a burner does work. :p |

Look for the topics on "DVD Authoring" at videohelp. That's where you can find info on free tools and how to use them. |
got divxx and used it to burn the movie but now my dvd player wont play is this due to the fact that it is in avi format.I burnt it to a cd-r disc is this wrong!?Is there anything I can do to change it ?(not the dvd player )are there particular formats that are neccessary...........Oh how the frustration grows!!!!!!!!!!! P.S.sorry about the rule breakage must remember to read things before agreeing to them! |
If you use CD-R disks, then you will need to convert the file to the MPEG-1 format and then burn the disk in the VCD or SVCD format. This may mean you will have to split the movie in half too, as it is usually too large for one disk. Look up the tutorials on authoring VCD disks on videohelp.com. |
