downloading entire albums When downloading music is there any way to tell which are just songs & which are entire albums? I want to be able to hear the whole album & it's frustrating to wait for a download then find out it's only the song. Paul |
ALbumwraps. I don't know which program you're using but there's a Sticky thread about it in the LW open discussion section. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showthread.php?t=34057 |
Nasty Hi, Im new at Limewire but not at P2P. Just look at the file size and you can tell immediately. For example: each song on an album ranges from 4 to 12 megs depending on length and quality of the recording. Your album downloads usually range from say 65 megs to 90 megs, again depending on length of recording and mp3 quality settings (128/160/190---->>320). You can press the "File Size" tab on your search entrys and have them listed starting with the largest file sizes down to the smallest. When searching for album DL's this can help to quicklly sort them out. Good Luck. |
hi i'm having trouble myself downloading a full album. What i do is in search under audio under album i type in the album that i'm lookin for a bunch of songs apper, now dow i just download it by song or is there another way that i can do it? |
Did you follow LOTR's link in post #2??? That will help you out;) |
As Drago suggested, it does depend on bit rate it was encoded at & how long the album goes for. In my experience albumwraps are usually between 40 MB to over 300 MB (if they're 320 kbps bit rate.) Some people also edit entire albums together as single albums in the one song file. I don't particularly like those but well ... some people do that. |
