Cant download movies on USB (external drive)

Hi, I downloaded some movies in .avi format around 700 MB in size through Limewire on my PC but i want to copy them on an USB port i.e. is 1 GB but while copying i get an message saying Cannot find the specified file & Make sure you specify the correct path & file name. I tried other movies but same message i receive. I can watch them on my PC but copying on USB i have problem. Can somebody please help me & give some advise.

you need to copy them from your saved folder, not limewire's library

Experiment. Create a simple text document file & put onto E drive. Then try to copy that to the external drive. And copy that same document to other drives & try copying from those drives to your external. What happens?

Are you trying to copy to root level of the external drive. Or copying from root level of E drive?

thanks Lord of Rings, I am trying to copy from root level of E:Drive to External drive. Actually E: Drive is my saved folder in Lime wire. And as you told about the experiment i did tried it works to copy text document but copying movies it still gives me the same message Make sure you specify the correct path & file name

Try moving the video files to a folder within the E drive & copying from there. ie: not copying from root. And perhaps try the same thing with the external drive. Instead of copying to root drive, copy to a folder within the external drive.

Another option is to copy the files to another drive like F or something & copy from there.

How much space do you have left on the external drive? Are you sure you formatted it identically with same format type?
