converting wmas to mp3s

I know some of you like to write nifty programs...how about this...
Napster downloads all your files to Windows Media Player as .wma files by default. These become copy protected files rthat are hard to change to mp3.
Someone needs to write a program that makes napster download files as mp3s, or converts the files TO mp3 as they are added to your library, say itunes.
Im sure one of you technogeeks can manage to change a few measly wmas to mp3s cant you??

Napster? I thought Napster was almost dead. There are programs out there already that can remove copy protection from wma files. Due to forum rules I can't mention such, but one was mentioned on the forums within the past week. I think it was in the Lounge.

As for auto converting. I'm sure it could be done. On the mac it can be done a few ways. Most popular is applescript. As iTunes automatically imports files (but doesn't re-convert them) directly after LimeWire has downlded them. Windows of course is a little different.
