It could be the discs. I know with DVD some player like -R and others like +R. Maybe the same with audio Also I use Verbaitim-R discs they play in all CD and DVD players in my experience.

Your songs are automatically saved to your HDD...in LW tools > options > saving will show you where they're saved. By default, it's C:\Documents and Settings\your username\Shared.

So, if you're going to have WMP add songs automatically, that saved folder is the one WMP needs to monitor. Or, if you're adding manually to WMP go file > add to library > by searching computer & search for that saved folder

When I downloaded a new song for my Media Player it showed as downloading ie 50%, 60%, completed. Tried to play it on Media Player but there was only about 2 seconds of music!
I've also tried to download Limewire but on each occasion it has arrived with a virus? Is there a safer site to download free music from?

I use LimeWire to download songs. If I try to set up my WMP Library to get these files, where can I find the folder (what is it called)?

Go to your Library window, hover your cursor over your Saved files folder & it will show the directory location. By default now, it has changed from old location, see If you updated LimeWire & cannot find your Downloads
