burning dvd's with nero

i have nero and i have no idea how to burn my movies with it.i have tried everything and it states it is burning and completed but nothing.what am i doing wrong/i have asked my friends but when they see my nero room they have no clue.please help.

no, i have nero 5 do you know how to burn with that one.also i need to know how to burn from computer to dvd and dvd to dvd.can you help?

I have Nero V5.5 and I burn a CD or two every so often, however Nero 5 only has a basic DVD burner, which was made before the advent of DVD/R+- or DVD/RW disk were available, back in April 2000. So it may not work as more mordern DVD/CD burners, such as Nero 6.0 or Nero 7.0.

And to tell you the truth, I have used Nero 5.0 to burn CDs, VCDs and SVCDs but never DVDs, I just don't know how they would come out.

I would strongly suggest that you upgrade your Nero 5.0 to Nero 6.0 or 7.0 because they have the modern DVD burning facilities in them.

As for Nero 5.0, it is no longer supported by Nero and you can't even download the user guide that was once freely available.

Basically, you are going to have to upgrade if you want to burn DVDs.
