Default help me because i'm clueless(burning movies)

After you burn a movie on to a dvd disk and try to watch it on the dvd player it shows up dvd rom and won't go any farther than that. Please help if posible!

What program are you using to convert the files into dvd format and then burn...????

I use ultra quick time converter to convert an avi to dvd compliant files, and then an older version of nero (6.6 i think) to burn the disc, works a treat, if you need any help let me know.

It sounds like you burnt your file onto the disk as a data disk. It needs to be converted first. Often the burner program can do that. But there's other options as lmindham suggested. DVD-Video disks need to be burnt in UDF format. Only some players will play dvd mpeg 2 videos formated for dvd-video in data format.

Hi, Is there any way to remove subtitles from a converted dvd before burning?
