Default direct connect

hello everyone i am new to lime wire pro..however am familiar with the software...but i am treying to connect to my pc from my gf's pc so that i can give her all my music via limewire..as opposed to wasting dvd's and whne i enter out ip adresses, it says " canot browse host" why does this happen?

Either you are firewalled or you used the wrong port number.
LimeWire doesn't always use the default of 6346.

Hiya...

If you have not changed the port in your settings, set her machine to the same one as yours...

If her machine still has the default installed port setup, then set yours to the same as hers.

This may cause you some 'connectivity' problems later within the full Gnutella Network.

A far better solution for you both would be to use an ftp client.
Or, just an Ethernet cable if you two can get that close !!!
