![]() Hello all, well this is my problem, I have many songs that I have down loaded, and its in the limewire file, I use nero to burn with, I am using rw cd's, If I just make a cd with only a few songs on it, it works fine and sounds great, but if I pack alot of songs on one cd, you can hear the song, but it also makes loud screaching noises as well as other strange noises while the song is playing. Like I said if I just make a cd, once I grag all the songs over, it breaks them into 10 of 15 songs per cd, but if I try to burn for MP3- all the songs like 70 of them, they all go on and it appears everything is fine while burning, but the songs come out with screaching while song is playing, does anyone have a clue why this is happening and how I can fix it, I have the Lime Wire Pro, I also tried to down load using Roxio, and still the same . Thanks in advance for some help on this matter, its realy pissing me off, I ride a bike and changing cd's while riding is kinda hard, so one cd with lots of music is the only way I can go. Thanks ![]() |

![]() In XP, I've had the best success using the [DEMO, or BASIC] Application "Burn 4 Free." It will show you a green bar, if all [73 +/-] popular songs will fit. If you place a 74th song, the bar goes Orange, or finally, RED. You need to set it on about 2.5x,--not the fastest-- burn speed. Later, try a really fast burn speed and see if it's OK. If you start with RAR-files, you may need to use their 'Pro' version, or resort to some other de-compression tool, as this 'CODEC' domain is where the problem you describe probably lies. |

![]() Good points, everybody can add if they take a second to look at the file sizes. This "skreetching sound" on his jam-packed MP3 disc feels like more a function of his portable player, after considering the likely delivery mechanism. It wasn't until probably around 2003 that all the CD players manufactured could read 'home burned' discs, and it wasn't until 2008 that I decided it was 'safe' for me to try to burn one! --I couldn't take the Vinyl out of the mix for years. Portability, and convenience are the main benefits as a iPod nano can hold a big box full of cassettes, more than you want rolling about in the car. Additionally, I don't think all pre-recorded music needs to be high quality. I rather like some songs that end abruptly: [buy the damn album!] But, the main thing about trading MP3's is that we are rapidly making the nuiance of our world's disperate cultures more assessible to all. I would burn you guys a really hip CD, but I can't decide what to put on it!! |

![]() there is no special disc for mp3s....just a typical CD or DVD burned as a data disc....fine points would be if one puts individual artists (or specific types of tracks) into folders as opposed to none being in folders.... I would think staying away from RW discs would be a good idea, as many players don't like them...
