Default XoloX 1.18 testing and links

Test this for yourself.

As always, scan for viruses, who knows where these links came from.
XoloX is slow at responding because it was written by beginning programmers. You click on something and it will stall for a little while.
The little buttons are so cute and simple, makes me feel like I am 8 years old again.
It doesn't let you know what is going on with the network. It doesn't let you control it, it controls your computer and you have no idea what it is up to. Options are limited.
Simple interface for those who are technically challenged, is that you?
It's hard to tell what files you are sharing, am I sharing my C drive? How can you tell? Are you sure?
After running it I am not "amazed" as others have said. I think people are hyping this too much.
Try Gnucleus and compare the two.
It shared my entire "My Documents" folder when I first started it up, real cute and a complete security violation. Who do I sue for transfering my private information?
If you got a "hard to get" file with XoloX, maybe you happend to be connected to the right part of the network, or you got away from the bearshare blackhole or the morpheus blackhole.
This program does nothing new except hide the network connection and other information from you.
This looks like something someone threw together quickly as a project for school. It needs more settings and features and a decent "engine" that can handle things without stalling the user interface.
If you are getting all these "better" and "more" results, don't you wonder what it's doing to the network?
Oh yea, I remember now, you just want your files, who cares about anyone else.

Talking Ignorance is bliss...

And you must be the most blissful person alive.

You mistake complexity for usefulness, and totally miss the whole point of the XoloX design philosophy: Simplicity above all.

I'm an Interaction Designer, so all I do is look at, design and evaluate interfaces. And Xolox's is a prime example of usable, slick and functional design.

But I understand. You don't want your mates to think you're not "l337," so keep on seeking the ultra-configurable proggies with all the quirky buttons and options. I'll stick with the zen-like minimalism of one of the most well designed P2P clients ever.

Sometimes it is simplicity versus flexibility. I choose flexibility.
