![]() When gnutellums pointed at the university for the 'xolox hosted' file, it was version 1.09 which had major memory usage problems, as noted in the support center, instead of 1.11. For bugs/problems that occur more than once: •What steps can you take to reproduce the error? •Are you are using the latest version? (1.11 currently) •What other programs are you using when it crashes? •Are you running any background disk management (defragmentation) software? •Are you running antivirus software that checks every file created or modified for viruses? If so you might want to have it ignore the /XoloX/temp directory. •How many files and folders do you have shared? •Are you ever using/playing files in folders XoloX is trying to index? •Are you ever using/playing a file that XoloX is trying to upload to someone? •Regarding general sluggishness, do you mean applications or internet browsing? •What speed/type of internet connection do you have? Can't think of anything else at the moment. Since your problems don't appar to be widespread, (at least I can't reproduce them) it's best to know as much as possible about the environment it is running in when problems do occur. |
