V1.11 Sorry pals, your prog is the best but you should really tell me why it spawned 280(!) threads on my machine, right before dying. Now after I shut it down the task manager tells me there's Xolox with 256 threads open. Is there some mistake in the thread spawning engine????????? Can it handle more than 256 on a 256Mb Win98 machine???? Bye and keep up, you're simply the best |
Threads This has been reported and acknowledged in the Upcoming changes is v1.12 The quick answer is: Threads = Number of (sub)directories shared + 5 for program funtions. In 1.09 this would kill a machine but I'm almost positive it was due to a memory leak problem in the CRC checking code. Now that it's been dissabled, the program doesn't use much memory at all. (Resources is another matter) |
