segmented d/l's for other clients???
 

have you thought about giving others the code for the segmented downloading... this would make gnutella take off at an exponential speed... I like xolox... but I prefer more control and knowledge of what's going on... so I am torn between gnucleus and xolox... it would be nice to see every client move to a segmented downloading scheme...

This has been asked before. (Look for the thread 'unreasonable request?' by me on the old forums.) In short, the reply I got was: 'We are interested in helping the network, and will be sharing our technologies with other developers when they are tried, tested, and found to be free of bugs.'
