XoloX - The good, the bad, and the missing Good It's small, stable, and user-friendly. The only problem I had on startup had a fix (which indeed fix the problem) that was clearly explained on the welcome screen. Bad My only complaint is that clicking the little "x" and then choosing "Close" to kill search windows is a pain. Make it so the "x" closes the window (just like hitting "x" on a Windows window would do). Perhaps add a toggleable prompt ("Close this search? Y/N"). Missing

re #2 1 and 3 have been requested, 1 has been denied , and 3 was being 'looked into' last I heard. As for #2... the drop down box for file type is already an edit box too (why? for the followign design option?)... how about making it so XoloX filters out all files who's extension doesn't match what's in the box. (if what's in the box isn't on the drop down list.) Also, in any advanced user mode settings... let us add/remove extentions to catagories. Like I could add .divx to the 'video' list if I wanted, or take out .ram if I think the quality sucks and I don't want them showing up in search results. |
"1 has been denied" Hmm, I don't think MP3 bitrates have been denied. Probaply Pasman can say more about this? |
Oops You're right Moak. What I meant to say was... the "bad" has been denied, and 1 has severe incompatability problems atm, Even without trying to generate their own bitrate info, they should at least be able to display/discard the metadata other clients are giving out. |
