Cool More Options

Well, I just want to say that I enjoy XoloX. It is very user friendly. I would like to see a few additions to it, like user names, chat forums, the ability to add users to buddy lists, to be able to im people, and last but not least to be able to view the people you are download from and there files. I am very pleased over all with XoloX, next to swapnutt it is one of the best file sharing programs out there now since napster is shut down. Keep up the good work.

Hi,
While I think everyone has different opinions about what makes an app good or bad, I think you are missing the point of Xolox. It is designed to be a simple utility. I am an experienced net user and I am extremely impressed with this utility.

Adding all those "features" will just throw Xolox on the heap of all the other bloatware. Just look at ICQ now. ICQ is now 5.1 MB, filled with crap "features". (uh oh!)

I quote:
"While developing XoloX we focused on three criteria:
Ease of use:
We kept XoloX as simple as possible. We don't like to bother the user with configuration questions or a complex interface. "

You dont need a buddy list because you dont control where you get the files from anyway, and this isnt the idea of the gnutella network.

just my 2c

cheers

Default More options

Yes I am aware that right now XoloX is user friendly. I am also an experienced internet user, that's why I require more from the sites I visit, and use. I also understans that it will never be as good as Napster, those days are over. I would still like to see more options available on XoloX, for people who know how to use more complex systems.

Default just wait

just wait for WinMX 3.0 to come out in about a month. It will have all the features that XoloX has now (downloading from multiple users for one file included), plus everything that WinMX 2.6 has.

XoloX has far exceeded Napster....

period.

I have but one gripe with XoloX.
WHERE THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO PUT EVERYTHING NOW.

Back in the days of Napster working on 40 or 50 or even 100 megs worth of files could take months. Of corse they were only Mp3's.

XoloX and a couple of days and were talkin' 10's of GIGS worth of files. XoloX will take a 40gig h/d chew it up and spit it out. That's why Im getting a 80 Gig

But I have to admit I use XoloX and eDonkey. They both ROCK!
