XOLOX-slowest downloads ever!

I feel like I'm using a freaking modem! The fastest I've ever downloaded at is 1.5 k/s! And I have a cable modem! I don't get it! XOLOX claims to be for high speed internet users, so what the hell? Please let me know if it's just me.

me too

I'm a AOL user and Xolox is the greatest f*cking sh*t I found, the downloads are slow, I wait for P*rn King movie to complete since 13 month now and it's still at 52%, and it's ****ing buggy it gives me 37 error windows every day, it does complain to me in 5 different foreign languages (stupid non-american programmers must be forbidden, can't they understand that software is an american invention), it is so bad that I sometimes have to buy games or programms instead of downloading, sh*it, it does take me so long to use it that my girlfriend left me and went over to a cooler guy that used Morphus (or some stuff), it does eat all the nachos out of my storage, it does reboot my harddisk twice and was the only app that surrived, I want to tell the programmers that they are a bunch of lamer puss*es because they _forced_ me to use this f*ck. You know what I'm talking about. Xolox does make Coke to Pepsi and then it does put sugar in my toothpaste! check it out man, wtf, what gives???

Well, I have dsl,and I've gotten up to 70kbps/,but it can go there, and then jump to 0kbps in about 3 seconds flat !

My Opinion, not that it really matters.

First off, i have experienced slow downloads too, but i also think that the download speed is inacruate. I say this because my downloads seem to go faster, although i have never actually clocked it with a stop watch or anything, but the speeds at which i actually download files at seems to be faster than what xolox displays.

One other note. Try not to complain too much, its not like you're actually paying for the files anyway. And i know that you use your high speed internet for other uses like email and possibly messanging.

happy downloading :)

hmmm...

funny, i don't here any of you people bitchin' about the upload speed. Are you all a bunch of Freeloader's or what? I've gotten 5 movies in my first two days on XoloX. the third day, there was trouble. many segments dropped and one dumped into SAFE DOWNLOAD MODE (whatever that is) but I wonder about the people uploading? Are people getting any of the 29 movies I am currently sharing? On other clients, i share a couple of these at a time, watch them upload the entire thing (Ok- sometimes this takes a while) and go on happy that someone got what i am sharing....I wish i keep track of this somehow.....I will also say that the movies i have gotten have all been excellent quality. maybe this is just luck, though.....

Xolox is a decent gnutella client. I wouldn't go so far as to say it is the best. It does have some pitfalls and bugs that need to be fixed. But for the money it is the best (and only) threaded download application that uses the gnutella protocol. I just that it would add some extra file extensions to the base listing. It needs to have:
.001
.002
.003
.etc
.r01
.r02
etc.
.nfo
.sfv
.cue (it has .bin but no .cue which makes no sense)
.ccd (clone cd image)
.cdi (disk juggler image)
.nrg (nero image)
.m2v (svcd file format extension)
and I'm sure there are many more that I'm missing right now. I would apprecate anyone extending on my list and I will start a thread to the authors possibly getting them added.
