Divide up AVI Movies?

Does anyone know the name of a good program that can divide up AVI movies? I Have a 30G HD and I have run out of space, I would like to keep a hard copy of some of the older movies I have, that no one downloads from me anymore. These movies are over 700M and won’t compress small enough with ZIP or RAR to be burned to disk.
