Default "Doe, a deer; a female deer..." (HI!)

GREETINGS, ALL!
As others have noted, I was "nudged" 4 times during the registration process to "introduce myself" so, as they say here in New Mexico, decided I'd "head 'em off at the pass" and get this over with.
After seeing the Beatles' first performance on The Ed Sullivan Show my life would never be the same.
Having "discovered" Dylan, Joan Baez, PP&M and Phil Ochs soon after, I was so affected by the power of Music as a force for Social Change, I traded my piano in for a folk guitar (much to my parents' chagrin) and became a singer-songwriter myself. (Hard carrying a piano to protest rallies!) Ah, the tumultuous Sixties!
In the 70s, deeply affected by the disparity between the sexes, I joined the Women's Music Movement and toured the US, raising money for the E.R.A., DV Shelters and R__e Crisis Lines.
Now in my 50s, while dissappointed by how little we've learned from the traumas of the times that *I* grew up in (I cannot believe we're still in Iraq--or even went there in the first place!) I'm encouraged by the "mighty roar" of dissatisfacton from the People in last November's elections... and by the next generation having apparently picked up the standard of Music and Protest "we" left behind as our legacy. (Have you heard "Dear Mr. President" by Pink?)
So that's a little of who I am, my fellow afficionados!
"Rock ON!" All you neo-hippies out there, ROCK ON! (And never forget, "If the People lead...the Leaders WILL follow!")

1- This a Cooperative type member, right ?

After seeing the Beatles' first performance on The Ed Sullivan Show my life would never be the same.

2- This ain't no drooler spamming kid, OK ??? !!!!!!!!!!!

... I traded my piano in for a folk guitar (much to my parents' chagrin) and became a singer-songwriter myself. (Hard carrying a piano to protest rallies!)

3- INTELLIGENT, observant and practical, hmmm ?

(And even harder to go from piano to guitar, wot ???)

In the 70s, deeply affected by the disparity between the sexes, I joined the Women's Music Movement and toured the US, raising money for the E.R.A., DV Shelters and R__e Crisis Lines.
WHAT... WHAT is wrong, 'illegal', in "poor taste", contravening the forum rules, offensive or whatever in the 3rd to the last word that I have quoted above ????????????????????

I know I'm a bit new here but I'd sure a hell like to know EXACTLY why some robot function hit this post so stupidly.

Wait a minute! Wait a minute! Hold the fort, ppl! I feel an explanation/apology is in order.
I signed on to this forum coz I'd wanted to post a question abt troubles I'd had w. playing ".wma" extensions (since resolved). Couldn't do so coz wasn't a member. Registered, got blasted w/ requests to "intro myself" & decided to do that first.
Wrote "Doe, a deer...," previewed it, saw the R-word was banned & discovered a time-period existed for adding polls. (Had crafted "Has a Song Ever Changed Your Mind About an Issue?" but was rejected for "exceeding the time limit on adding a poll.")
Thinking URSULA was the Board Op, I sent her a pvt post/email discussing both issues. (My bad! Sorry, Ursula!)
I must admit, "wondering why," when *I* first read Ursula's post, I too, thought she was "dissing me." ("What ruffled HER panties? Am I being dissed?") But then, rereading it (sev'l times), realized it was not ME she was p.o.'d about, but the censoring of the "R-word!" (For those NOT in the know, the word in question means, "an unwanted, often violent, sexual attack." <At least THAT made it past the censor!>)
("WHAT...whatever is wrong with the third to last word I quoted above????? <NOTE: the word was UNDERLINED, not "quoted."> "...why some robot function hit this post so stupidly!")
Is everyone up to speed now?
As you can see, it's not ME Ursula's p.o.'d about, but the CENSORING of the "R-word." (As was *I*, at first. Please read on...)
As I wrote in my pvt msg to Ursula, I think the reason it was banned is because the "robot function" <smile> used by the forum must be a word editor, ie, word-specific and not a contextual editor. Better to have a word "banned" because there's no way to determine a word's contextual use, than to allow it to be used in a threatening manner.
So my thanx to both of you! (Each "coming to my defense" in different ways.)
Isn't it interesting that all THREE of us are women? (SMILES!)
HUGZ ALL the way 'round!

No, "ww", I am not currently suffering from severe knicker-twist !

It was only a response to "silverbonn"... Unfortunately I did not have enough time yesterday to send a PM asking for permission to quote from the PM of "silverbonn" to me... (Which would have made all a bit more clear straightaway, hmmm ?)

That is all...

Anyway, Peace in the Valley reigns again

And, gee whiz and gosh and golly !!!... I thought that was one of my more polite and charming posts as of late !

btw - The farm on which I was done brung up had many acres of **** seed !

That is, of course, r a p e seed.
