This is a follow-up. I telephoned the number that pappy7752 provided and immediately told the agent that the call was being recorded at my end. She asked for my name or phone number, I gave neither but rather the Order ID. She called it up and still asked for my name to confirm. I refused to give it to her and asked her what name she got. It was my first name but a totally different and unknown last name. Then she said she would try it again. Then she strangely could give my address but still not my last name! I said mymusicbill.com goes nowhere, she said it should redirect to something called marketbill.com . She also talked about my now being with mysoftwareprovider.com . I told her she has my money and I have access to nothing. I instructed her that neither of those alternate websites is mentioned on my receipt and that the receipt has no reply email or phone number, not even, of course, for her mymusicbill.com. She had to get off the line and then came back to tell me all but the $9.95 will be refunded within 5-10 business days. She asked for an email address to send the confirmation (but wait, an address which she should have already had!) I gave her an alternate one. I could go on but you get the picture. I am still going to the bank with this, at its invitation. And I will not say what legal action is underway because this posting is where mymusicbill.com can see it. |

Refund but not finished Maybe it was my announced recording of them on the phone but it turns out musicbill.com, which supplied no useable downloads of the product purchased, nor any workable links or return email addresses, refunded all but their $9.95 -- the same day I called them even though they said it would take 5-10 business days. But if everybody gives up there, nothing will happen. There's the other $9.95, which is possibly if not probably that outfit's bread and butter. My financial institution advised me to block the debit card, which we did. They cut up the plastic and they may provisionally refund the $9.95 in lieu of contacting the company, themselves. The inconvenience of my now having to reassign other accounts away from this debit card will be a small one -- if it's the only one that results from this, which is another question. I am usually a too mild-mannered, easy sell. But this is a wake-up call. |

Just got scammed too While searching for google earth using google tool bar there were 3 top links, first was really google the other two were scam city, billed as mymusicbill.com. Looked really legit. How can they use Googles name like that? I never completed the transaction, or so I thought. There was that last check you need to do that says you read their agreement, I never checked it or signed on. Called credit card co. right away to report this and get card blocked. We all need to call google for even allowing this to pop up on their search engine and for them using their name. |

I filled out a complaint at this website below, hope it helps. I also called google to let them know, not sure if they were interested to know their name is part of a scam. I also tried calling the call center at 888-846-9590 to try and get this taking care of without doing a charge back but I was told their computer is down for that company and for me to call again next day. They are scamming everybody for their $9.95, at minimum. My recommendation is to be assertive, do not answer ANY of their questions, and give them only the order ID number they gave you. That is ALL they should have to know. They refunded $78 of my $88 immediately and the other $9.95 is now in the hands of my credit union |
