Limewire 5 (please give me an idiot guide how to use it)

Hi there my name is Scott and i've just signed up, i hope that someone out there can help me.
I've just downloaded Limewire 5 and frankly can't figure out how to use it, i may be a bit slow, but it seems to take forever to get anywhere and i just give up and try the old LW.
Could someone please give me an idiot guide how to use it. I just cant do anything, and the old LW no longer returns anything that i search for .
Please Help. Scott
