![]() Hi, ![]() ![]() I have limewire 4.9, the problem is i cannot connect because there is a firewall active. I have norton, but for the program limewire, the option firewall is off. My internetbrowser has a pop up option, but even when i set this off, limewire still doesn't work. Limewire is the past has worked, what do i do wrong? Can somebody help me? Greetz Laura |

![]() Hi Laura ![]() Windows firewall off. Add exception for LW in Norton firewall. You need to re-add LW each time Norton updates btw. ![]() Try replacing the gnutella.net file ... see tips here If LW 4 Will Not Connect (click on the blue link) ![]() |

I guess you're using LW 5?? Do you mean sharing files with people in general or with friends via the 'Friends' feature?? To share files with others in general, files have to be added to your Public Shared list.
