Zap(crap)shares I was worried about all the alerts and warnings lately when using my Limewire program, so I stupidly downloaded zapshares. I now feel like such a dumbass. If I had nothing to do but read BS advertizments all day and not get anything else done, it's a great program. I don't have that kind of time. Although I am retired, I have other things that occupy my time. After fighting this piece of s**t for two days I deleted it and all files associated with it. Good riddance!!!! I have noticed that there is almost no one on Limewire anymore, so I guess that when my subscription runs out in December, I'll just have to let it go. Too bad there isn't a way to block these freaks from blasting you on every single search with thrie bogus information. See ya'll later. |

Bearshrum You know, you are lucky because you downloaded some rubbish designed to constantly serve you with annoying adverts, which you easily got rid off. You could have just as easily downloaded something designed to insinuate its way into the heart of your computer and silently steal your bank and/or credit card details. And the only way to get rid of something like that, if you know it's on your machine, is by reformatting your hard drive. The Internet now is a very dangerous place for the unwary, just be thankful that you caught the "mildest" of the million plus dangers that are out there. UK Bob PS.
