![]() Did you recently update Java? http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...ting-java.html If you are running Java 7, with the newest update you need to install the 32-bit Java last. You can simply re-install the 32-bit Java 7 and LW will go back to normal and use it's old settings. Direct download link to the Offline installer for 32-bit Java 7 "here". This sounds like what has happened since your shares are showing as zero and the connection is null. ie: LW changed its location for preferences settings folder and calls it .limewire I tested this a week ago and same story. oh, sorry my bold text looks a little strange lol. If you are instead using Java 6 then let me know. BTW the Oracle site's link to Java 6 64-bit Java is the Java 7 version. I don't like how their website works these days. |

![]() Howdy!! Java working fine. Not updated. Downloading tourent files and uploading tourent files no problems it just that I cannot tell if I am shareing any files as the indicator that says I am shareing X # files is not working nor is the indicator # bars and color of bars not working. Just sbows Connecting with gray bars. but does not show connected when I am Downloading as fast as 1125kb sec or uploading 250 kbs sec. My main concern it that I have been shareing my files with more than 15 P2p users and now I don't know if they will be able to continue their incompleat uploads since i re-instaled NO ONE is downloading from Me. respectfully |

![]() The files you wish to share are definitely showing in the My Files -> Public Shared list? Click on Public Shared to be sure they are listed there. I do not use LW for torrents so I do not know much about it. I use two torrent specific programs, one for public sites the other for private torrent sites. Because torrents and gnutella network are two different protocols, you do not need to be connected to the gnutella network to download or upload torrents. So I guess we need to find out why you cannot connect to the gnutella network. Have you tried the latest connection fix installer? I updated it less than 24 hours ago. Maybe if you get connected to the gnutella network the shares will show as they should. http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ti5x671sxcazqcn (temporary link) |

![]() Howdy!! Yep all the files I wish to share are in the Public shared files list. I Just tried the Fix. I don't think it worked I tried doing a Search for the easiest to serach for Adult material. I could not connect to the network. Search window just said connecting and didn't change for 5 min. I have run Ad-aware and Spybot and avast in case I picked some kind of Disease No help. I may have to re-install windows 7 and start from scratch. |

![]() Have you tried FrostWire version 4: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/frostw...dows-only.html or Phex http://www.phex.org/mambo/content/view/17/29/ (or alternatively this Phex) to see if they connect to the gnutella network? |

![]() Someone else mentioned using Windows 8, but initially had the Java problem I mentioned earlier. That was the first I heard of the 64-bit Java update issue. What have you tried from the Connection fix thread. Have you tried disabling any of the Advanced > Performance options? For me to connect with LW 4, I always need to disable the TLS option. And for Windows 7 or later, Java needs to be set to Run as Admin. else this does affect ability to connect. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...t-connect.html What are your initial thoughts on Windows 8 btw? Another thing you could try is set up a test account on your computer. Disable av and most other security devices. See if LW connects with a fresh connection file. If it does, re-enable each security software one by one to see which one might be at fault. Test accounts are easy to set up and easy to delete. After all this is only a test of connecting to the network, not downloading anything. |
