Limewire won't run after I install it

I have downloaded (and re-downloaded) and installed (and uninstalled and tried again) a few times. Everything up through installation seems to work fine, but the program will not run once I install it. Can you help me?

Incidentally, I use the Japanese version of Windows XP on my laptop. However, this is not the problem. (I have also tried installing the Japanese version but it will not even install.)
