Error 1714

I had window ME with Limewire loaded and running. I had to install windows 2000 pro. I down loaded limewire v3.6.15 to install and got 80% complete and got error message 1714 can find limewire.msi. the older version of limewire cannot be removed.

What can i do to fix this problem?
