need to pay again to upgrade?

I reinstalled Limewire which I purchased approx one year ago, and it asked me if I wanted to upgrade to the new version of Pro.

I figured the upgrade would be free, since I paid for the software, and it seems the price included free future upgrades.

However, the Limewire site mentions a $14.95 charge.

I would like to get Limewire installed again to avoid the Spyware of Kazaa, etc, and am rather miffed just because I didn't purchase LW in the past six months that I seemt o need to pay more money.

Is it a requirement I pay $15 to upgrade again, or can I avoid this somehow, since I paid for an upgrade previously?
