someone just told me that it isn't very smart to tell the whole internet that u turned off ur firewall completely. and that it is even dumber to do that in the first place. oops. but anyway, limewire is working now. i uninstalled and reinstalled java. thanx ne way!

Can I get a link to where you install Java? My LimeWire is having the same problems so I'm thinking maybe that will work.

Im having same problems... Limewire worked fine for couple of years, altered something now it wont open. Uninstalled/reinstalled a few times, wont open any more?????????????????????????????????????:mad2:

I Installed Limewire on my computer and uninstalled it several times to fix this problem but i have had no luck. After the installation, Limewire won't open. The hourglass would show up, then disappear and I would never see Limewire open in the following minutes-hour. Please help. Thanks. Please help if any is found.

Try this Reinstallation Technique :) And set both Java & LW to run as Administrator, and try the different compatibility options. Note the first LW download link does not work, use the 2nd one as noted.
